1. MashpeeMonday, July 1 (Rain date: Tuesday, July 2)
The annual Mashpee Community Picnic and Fireworks will be held on July 1st at Mashpee Middle-High School. The picnic will begin at 5 p.m., with music, food and games. Kids’ activities include pony rides and face painting. Following the picnic fun, fireworks will begin around 8:45 p.m. In addition to parking available at the high school, free shuttles will transport attendees to and from Old Barnstable Road.
2. EdgartownThursday, July 4
Enjoy fireworks on Martha’s Vineyard over Edgartown Harbor, beginning at dusk on July 4th. The annual Edgartown Parade begins at 5 p.m. prior to the fireworks, starting at the intersection of West Tisbury Road and Pinehurst Road.
3. FalmouthThursday, July 4 (Rain date: Friday, July 5)
The Falmouth Fireworks Display is a must-see, voted in the top ten fireworks displays in the US by Travel + Leisure Magazine as well as named the Upper Cape’s Best Summer Event in our 2019 Readers’ Choice Awards. The display will begin at dusk over Falmouth Heights Beach. For patriotic fun during the day, head to the Woods Hole Fourth of July Parade along Water Street, beginning at noon.
4. Hyannis Thursday, July 4 (Rain date: Saturday, August 31 – fireworks only)
Held over Hyannis Harbor and Lewis Bay, the Hyannis Fireworks Display is spectacular. The annual boat parade on Hyannis Harbor will start at 2 p.m. and the Hyannis Main Street Parade will begin at 4 p.m., along with street performers, trolley rides and more. Various musicians can be enjoyed along Main Street throughout the evening. Arrive at Aselton Park for the Pre-Fireworks Concert at 6:30 and stay for the fireworks show, beginning around 9 p.m.
5. New BedfordThursday, July 4
New Bedford’s 2019 Fourth of July Fireworks Display is set to be an awe-inspiring show, with fireworks to be staged over State Pier beginning at 9 p.m. State Pier will not be accessible during the fireworks, so spectators are encouraged to view the display from lower Union Street in downtown New Bedford.
*New Bedford fireworks can be seen from the shores of Buzzards Bay!
6. Plymouth Thursday, July 4 (Rain date: Friday, July 5)
The Plymouth fireworks show will begin around 9:00 to 9:15 p.m. over the Plymouth Waterfront. Get to Pilgrim Memorial State Park at 7:30 p.m. for a free concert by the Plymouth Philharmonic Orchestra. Earlier in the day, the annual Fourth of July 5k will start at 8:15 a.m., with the parade beginning at 9:30 a.m. This year’s theme is “Stars and Stripes Forever”, so enjoy the parade in your favorite patriotic gear.

7. ProvincetownThursday, July 4
America’s birthplace is always a special spot to ring in Independence Day. Take in the Provincetown July 4th fireworks show over the beautiful Provincetown Harbor at dusk. It will be low tide, so you can enjoy a perfect fireworks view on the beaches around the center of town. How about enjoying the show from right on the water? The Dolphin Fleet’s Fireworks and Music cruise sets sails at 8 p.m., and they are also offering Whale Watch and Fireworks cruises earlier in the evening. Additionally, the Pilgrim Monument and Provincetown Museum will host their annual Monumental 4th of July Picnic and Fireworks celebration from 5-10 p.m., where you can watch the fireworks show from in front of the iconic Monument. There are 24/7 parking lots in the center of town, including at MacMillan Wharf and the Grace Hall Parking Lot. Get to Ptown earlier in the day to catch the delightful July 4th Parade, starting at 11 a.m. and proceeding down Commercial Street.
8. Sandwich Thursday, July 4
The town of Sandwich is hosting multiple events for the whole family to celebrate the Fourth of July. The morning kicks off at 8:30 a.m. with a 3-mile Road Race. The day continues with a parade, an egg toss and a picnic with live music. Later in the evening, Shawme Pond will hold a band concert at 7:30 p.m. The Boat Parade, a century old tradition, will begin at 9 p.m., followed by the fireworks presentation at 10 p.m. over Shawme Pond.
9. MarionFriday, July 5 (Rain date: Saturday, July 6)
Independence Day festivities continue on the South Coast in the charming town of Marion. Marion’s 2019 Independence Day Fireworks are slated for Friday, July 5 at Silvershell Beach. On the 4th, the town hosts its Fourth of July Parade at 9 a.m., kicking off on Main Street.

10. NantucketFriday, July 5 (Rain date: Saturday, July 6)
Check out Nantucket’s Main Street for shopping and entertainment this July 4th, including a water fight with the Nantucket Fire Department at noon. Later in the day, Children’s Beach games will be held at 5 p.m.
The Fireworks Display will begin at 9 p.m. the following day, July 5th, on the beautiful Jetties Beach.
11. OrleansSaturday, July 6 (Rain date: Sunday, July 7)
Orleans’ Independence Day Fireworks Show begins at dusk over Rock Harbor on Saturday, July 6th. The expected start time is between 8:30 and 9:15 p.m. The display may also be enjoyed from Skaket Beach. Public lots around downtown Orleans will be available for parking, including Orleans Middle School, Main Street, and Old Colony Way. Two days earlier, on Independence Day, you can enjoy a private fireworks display over Pleasant Bay, courtesy of Blue Claw Boat Tours.
12. Wareham/OnsetSaturday, July 6 (Rain date: Sunday, July 7)
Continue your Independence Day celebrations at the Wareham-Onset Fireworks on Saturday, July 6th. Beginning at noon, food trucks will be available at the Bandshell with tasty treats. The fireworks begin around 9 p.m. on Onset Beach. Free parking is available at Hynes and Lopes Fields. Wareham/Onset fireworks can be seen from the shores of Buzzards Bay.
